Our Mission

The idea of the existence of a mirror sector in our Universe was first proposed in 1966 after the discovery of parity and CP violation in particle physics. Here we will explore with interested readers how we can build an accurate theory of mirror matter (i.e., dark matter), explain various puzzles (e.g., dark energy) in fundamental physics and cosmology, and test its unique predictions in the laboratory.

We would like to garner attention from the physics community, especially young up-and-coming physicists, to this new research direction, including both theoretical and experimental development under the new framework of mirror matter theory …

Innovation is best nurtured in an ideally open, diverse, democratic, tolerant, and motivating environment. How can we create and maintain such an environment? We proposed one possible solution: a new open science initiative on building an Open Archive Platform and Rigorous Evaluation System for Open Science (RESOS) [check out the article about this idea, the open science section, our Forum about RESOS, and OpenarXiv.org]. 

Our Impact

Please explore our rich research programs/projects motivated by the new mirror matter theory, including ultra-cold neutrons, magnetic traps, super-strong magnetic fields, ordinary-mirror particle oscillations, and invisible decays of neutral hadrons on the experimental side; mirror symmetry, supersymmetry, topological transitions, and string theory on the theoretical front.
